The Roberta-Box is a bundle of all materials which are needed to equip a group of two or three children in a Roberta learning environment. It is based on the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT and contains the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT robot construction kit, documentation, Roberta volume 1-Basics and 1-NXT, software and materials for the implementation of Roberta courses.

The "Roberta series" documents the Roberta concept. It was developed by Fraunhofer IAIS and partners and sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research. The series presents teaching and learning materials for robot courses that are especially interesting to girls and are conducted by trained Roberta course instructors.

The first volume of the Roberta series contains basics for planning and conducting Roberta courses. This includes, in particular, didactic advice for gender-sensitive course organization. The book serves as an introduction to robotics, presents different construction kits and shows programming possibilities for controlling the robots.

The second volume of the Roberta series offers many experiments, detailed building instructions, tips and tricks for avoiding or solving technical problems with the robot construction kits (LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT). The CD-ROM accompanying the volume contains programming examples for all experiments. The programming environments used are LEGO MINDSTORMS Education (LME) and Bricx Command Center.
